Make Parenting A Pleasure® evaluation report

A new report issued January, 2016 demonstrates that Make Parenting A Pleasure® is effective in improving outcomes for stressed families. Make Parenting A Pleasure assists highly stressed families in improving Protective Factors that are associated with reducing the risk of child abuse and neglect, such as parental resilience, social connections, knowledge of parenting and child development and the social and emotional competence of children.

This study was a randomized clinical trial, with a wait-list control condition involving a sample of 59 matched participants with children aged birth to 8 years of age. Make Parenting A Pleasure was found to significantly reduce symptoms of depression and increase reported parenting skills compared with the wait-list control group, demonstrating that MPAP is effective in improving outcomes for stressed families.
